In 1985, Isuzu introduced a truck consumers could rely on, the Isuzu Diesel Pickup. The pickup model was available in a number of styles, the Deluxe Long Bed, the Deluxe Short Bed, the LS Long Bed, the LS Short bed, the Long Bed, the MPG Short Bed, and the Short Bed. In 1986, Spacecab and Deluxe Spacecab was added to the lineup, and LS Long Bed was replaced by LS Spacecab. In 1987, only the Spacecab was left in the lineup among the Deluxe model trim.

 

Major change in year model trims was made by Isuzu in 1988, only the LS Spacecab was left in the lineup. Other trims were replaced with the S 1 Ton Long Bed, S Long Bed and S Short Bed, and LS Long Bed was back to life. In 1989, LS Short Bed and LS Spacecab was brought back to the lineup, and LS Long Bed was dropped. S Spacecab, XS Short Bed and XS Spacecab was added. No changes were made in 1990. Isuzu dropped the XS models in 1991 and the LS Short Bed in 1992. In 1993, only three model trims were left, the S Long Bed, the S Short Bed and the S Spacecab. No changes in the model trim lineup in 1994, and in 1995, the three S series were the last among the Isuzu Pickup models. Isuzu ceased the production of the Pickup model in 1996. Many more models came up in the Isuzu's lineup, which later on became more famous, but all were just the descendants of the truly reliable Isuzu Diesel Pickup.
