Isuzu Hombre Review
The Isuzu Hombre is a very basic compact pickup that was introduced in 1996.
The General Motors Corporation having minor equity interests and partnership with
Isuzu, you can well notice the Isuzu Hombre shares some of its design as well
as parts with the GM twin pickups, Chevrolet S-10 and GMC Sonoma. In fact, these
three pickup trucks were manufactured in the same factory in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Sharing the same design with the GM pickups, we can expect that the Isuzu Hombre
would give us just the same performance and ride quality that the GM pickups have.

The Isuzu Hombre, however, is the most basic among these three pickups. This
mean that it is not as comprehensively equipped as the other two GM pickup trucks
are. Although it shares the same body and some parts, the Isuzu Hombre contains
less of the innovative equipments and interior comforts that the GM pickup trucks
have. However less equipped, the Isuzu Hombre still promises to be a good alternative
to the two high-priced pickups. And as the years progress, it gets more and more
of the equipments that the GM pickups had. Introduced as a very basic pickup in
1996, it improved the next year with the V6 engine.
By 1998, it already has the 4WD system of the GM pickups and in 1999, the third
door option for the extended cab. As there are many similarities with the Isuzu
Hombre and the other GM pickups, there are as many differences as well. Discover
these similarity and differences further here in this minisite. You'll also learn
about the other specs and characteristics as well as the performance of the Isuzu
Hombre as you read further in this site.
